3 Anticipated New Releases in March 2019

Oh hi! Fancy seeing you here.

Jear Desus, I forgot I hadn’t posted this.

Another month has come and gone. This month flew by and dragged on equally. I’ve haven’t read as much as I would have liked, but soon enough, my days will be better suited for maximum read-age. I’m shaking with excitement.

March wasn’t the busiest months of new releases on my radar, which made compiling this list that much more easy. So let’s get down to it!

Internment by Samira Ahmed (March 19th)57485815_820512498329325_5766822424783880192_n.jpg

I met Samira Ahmed last year at the first MTL YA Fest, and during one of the panels she discussed that she was in the process of writing this book, this book that was meant to be a far -fetched vision and instead with the political climate felt like writing modern history. Immediately, I knew I was going to buy this book when it was released. I think books like these need to be read by everyone. There are scary and traumatizing things happening to people every single day and books like these helps give us a glimpse into these horrors and maybe incite readers in getting more information.

Opposite of Always by Justin A. Reynolds (March 5th)

This book looks like a sci-fi, fantasy, contemporary YA romance and I’m all for it. I saw Becky Albertalli recommend it on Instagram a long time ago, so it immediately went in my Wishlist. When one of your favorite authors recommends a book, you pick it up no questions asked. (Probably an idea for a new segment of this blog!). I’m really excited to see what Reynolds has in store for us.

Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid (March 5th)

Unless you’ve been of social media for the past months, you will definitely have seen this book around. Reese Witherspoon signed for the right to produce a TV show of this when this book was announced, and she also picked it for her book club. This book has been all over my Instagram, it’s no joke. I’ve had my eye on this one since it was announced because the authors previous novel, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, has made its way in to my all-time favorite books. It’s a novel that has everything, great pacing, great reveals, LGBT representation, I can go on and on and on and on about this book. But I’ll refrain, y’all are welcome. I’m most excited about this new book, it’s rock and roll, it’s a tell-all, it’s everything my like rocker chic self could ever ask for in a book.

There you have it folks, my most anticipated reads released in March. Very soon, like so soon, I am about to have so much free time to be able to catch up on my reading mountain, and have more time to post more regularly (though don’t trust me on this, I am a scatter brain)

I’ll be posting April by the end of next week (again don’t trust me on this, I suck)

Alright byeeee and Go curl up with a book and relax!

Chloe
